Highly drought-resistant plants

These are the toughest plants in our nursery for hot, dry North Texas summers. Once their roots are established, they can go long stretches with little or no irrigation. New plants still need regular watering until establishment, so plan for that when you plant. Deep and infrequent watering works best for established plants.

The collection spans shrubs, perennials, grasses, and small trees. Texas Sage and Desert Willow are two sun loving examples of plants built for heat.
